Back on the top deck of the Kharon Jacob yawns and stretches as he walks into the light of the suns. He spots Kiarah still sitting on the rail and walks over to her. “Look you and I both know this mission of Luke’s to find The Gardens is a pipe dream”, says Jacob. “Now you look like a smart Quarsian so what’s say you and me cook up an arrangement with some more practical value.”
Kiarah looks up at the horizon for the first time and calmly says, “We’re under attack.”
“What’s this now? Did you say attack?”
Kiarah gets up off the rail and runs below deck. Jacob scratches his head.
