Chapter 23
Back out in the courtyard Sal and Michael are climbing out of the rubble from the wall breach. “That was fun”, Sal exclaims.
“Your such an asshole”, retorts Michael.
“Aw quit your griping. We accomplished our goal.”
“Yipee but we only lived because my arrows allowed us to swing away from the impact.”
“Remind me to give you a gold star later.” With the wall now breached Wataman and Magplit forces start to pour though the opening. Everyone is running around in panic and chaos. Immond comes running by and Sal grabs him. The magistrate is caught off guard as Sal throws him against a wall and points his gun at his head. “Hey buddy remember us. How bout you help us out for old times sake and tell us where princess Milenas is.”
“I…I…I don’t know”, stammers Immond.
“Please let him go! She is in the south tower over the lake in the Queen’s private chambers. Nobody is allowed in so that is all we know. Please now let him go.” Sal and Michael turn to the voice speaking and see it is Jehul hysterical and frightened.
Sal lowers his gun and shoves Immond over to Jehul. “Thank you very much. You two can go on your merry way.” Immond and Jehul run off.
“Smooth”, says Michael.
“Are you going to be doing anything besides complaining on this mission.”
“Maybe I will stop complaining when you stop goofing around and start taking things seriously.”
“Hey someone has to even out the stick up your ass.”
“Fuck you asshole.”
“Love you too bro”, says Sal as he starts looking around the castle.
“So smartass you got any ideas how we get all the way up to that tower over there in this madhouse?”
Sal looks up at another ballooned flying machine passing overhead. “I got one.”
“You better be fucking joking.”
